Meta partner access email template
Client access hell is usually not "they forgot the invite." It is Partner added without asset assignment. Use a clear email, your Business ID, and a checklist. No passwords. No launch-speed promises.
The problem
Onboarding stalls when the client says you are a Partner, but you cannot open the ad account, Page, Instagram, or Pixel. Meta often lets someone add a partner Business ID without finishing asset assignment.
- Password dumps create security and trust problems. Decline them.
- Menus rename. Search Business Settings for Partners / Partners and assets / Access.
- Pixel / Dataset is easy to skip. Instagram often needs a linked Page.
Instructional only. Client owns the Business Portfolio, ad account, and billing. Visibility is not complete tracking. This page does not promise faster launches or better campaign results.

Subject: Action needed: Meta partner access for {{CLIENT_NAME}}
Hi {{CLIENT_NAME}} team,
To run ads and reporting work in scope, we need Meta partner access on assets you own. We never need your Facebook password.
Please open Meta Business Settings → Partners (or Partners and assets) and add our Business ID:
{{META_BUSINESS_ID}}
Then assign these assets to that partner (this step is where most onboardings stall):
- Ad account(s)
- Facebook Page(s)
- Instagram account(s) (linked to Page where required)
- Pixel / Dataset (if you use one)
Permission levels: match our agreement (often Advertiser on ads; appropriate Page roles). If unsure about Admin everywhere, pause and ask us first.
When done, reply to {{AGENCY_CONTACT_EMAIL}} with which assets were shared, or book a short screen-share: {{SUPPORT_CALENDAR_URL}}
Thanks,
{{AGENCY_NAME}}Quick asset checklist
- Ad account shared to partner (name + ID noted)
- Facebook Page shared
- Instagram shared / linked to Page if needed
- Pixel / Dataset shared when in scope
- Agency side: each asset visible under partner view before calling access "done"
If Partner exists but assets do not
- Ask the client to reopen Partners → select your Business ID → assign missing assets explicitly.
- Confirm Instagram ↔ Page link when IG ads are in scope.
- Confirm Pixel / Dataset sits under the same Business and is shared.
- If Meta looks stuck: remove partner, wait a few minutes, re-add Business ID, assign assets in the same session.
- If "other admins must approve" appears: identify a Business Admin. Still no passwords.
What this is not
- Not a CAPI / server-side setup guide
- Not a promise that Partner access equals complete conversion tracking
- Not DFY account setup or guaranteed reply speed
